Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Viewing Tips & Review

Last Updated on January 2, 2020

Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade

Disney Festival of Fantasy celebrates the spirit of Disney as Magic Kingdom park comes alive with music and dance during a tribute to the tales of Fantasyland.

Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade

Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade plays at 2:00 PM daily, and lasts about 12 minutes. It does take about 30 minutes to reach the end of the parade route so don’t try to go anywhere too quickly until after 2:30 pm.

Festival of Fantasy features an original score and floats paying tribute to The Little Mermaid, Brave, and Frozen, among other Disney films. Many of the floats’ pieces spin and swing to extremes not normally found in Disney parades: The Tangled platform has characters riding swinging wood hammers from one side of the street to the other. The most talked-about float is Maleficent (the villain from Sleeping Beauty, and the star of her own feature film) in dragon form—she spits actual fire at a couple of points along the route.

Since there is usually only a single showing of this parade each day, if you want to get first-row viewing, be prepared to camp out 30-45 minutes beforehand.

If you want the best experience and photos, there’s only one place where you should watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade, and that’s Main Street. You will have the beautiful Castle behind every picture and there is no better backdrop for a fantasy-themed parade than that.

USA Train Station itself offers a nice and unique view of Festival of Fantasy as well, but because of its unique vantage point and shelter from the elements, it tends to gather a large crowd.
