Magic Key Program Introduced for Disneyland Resort, a flexible tiered ‘Magic Key’ Program has been introduced to replace the Disneyland Passholder Program starting August 25, 2021.
Disneyland rolled out a new program called Magic Key’ to replace the much-enjoyed Annual Pass program. There are four Magic Key types with a variety of different available dates, pricing, food and merchandise discounts. The Magic Key program is being marked around the use of the Disneyland App.
Park Hopping
Entering the theme parks requires that you also have a theme park reservation in addition to a valid Magic Key pass. Park hoppers with park reservations for both Disneyland and California Adventure on the same day may switch between parks after 1 pm.

- Reservation-based admission to one or both theme parks select days of the year.

“No Show” Policy for Magic Key Holders
- Magic Key holders’ ability to make and hold reservations will be affected by a “no show” policy.
- If you rack up 3 “no show” reservations in a 90-day window, you will be unable to make new park reservations for 30 DAYS.
- Your 30 day penalty begins the day after the third “no show” and continues even if you upgrade your pass during that time period.
- Entering the designated park for your reservation at anytime before closing on the day of the reservation is not considered a “no show”
- If the reservation is for both parks, only one park needs to be entered to avoid being a “no-show.”
- Magic Key holders who timely cancel a reservation are also not considered a “no-show.”
- Cancellation of a reservation must be done by 11:59 PM PT on the day before the reserved date.

Magic Key Canadian Perspective
The Enchant Key seems to be the best value for Canadians travelling to Disneyland as it is the cheapest option if you are visiting more than twice a year. Be aware the blockout dates are many and this includes all July and large sections of June and August.
